Email Marketing As a System

Monday, October 31st, 2011

When you compare the number of click throughs in your emails with the number of emails you sent, you will find that they fall far below 50 %. Usually around 15% to 20 %. At least that is the usual number. These people have voluntarily subscribed to your newsletters. But why are they not clicking? Doesn’t that just seem…wrong? To determine the root cause of this situation there are three things you should know:

• What series of events are responsible for this chain?
• How can you figure out which link of the chain has gone awry?
• What action will you make to counter this?

There are five main parts in the chain: Delivery, acknowledgment, orientation, interest and communication.

Delivery is getting the email to your customer.

Acknowledgment is making sure that your client identifies with the email. This is supposed to trigger past positive memories with your product. This will ensure that your clients do not forget you.

Orientation. This is about relaying enough information and data to trigger the recipient’s interest. This should make your receiver want to know more about your product. You do not have to put everything in your newsletter. Aside from delivering information, the point of email marketing is to spark your reader’s interest.

Interest. This is the content itself. It must be interesting enough to hold your reader’s attention. It must be able to evoke emotions such as excitement and anticipation. You should be able to spur your readers on to take action. The key here is to use emotion. People are naturally emotional. It is just the way we are. So use this fact to your advantage.

Communication. This is the last step. Your email must provide the right environment for further action. You must make it easy for your potential customers to act. A lot of companies take their clients through numerous steps before they can actually make a purchase. But remember that people are impatient. If you make it too hard or complicated for them, they will just give up. So make it easy for them to communicate with you.

Email marketing really works. Even if you only have a market of 15 to 20 %, imagine how many people you still can reach. Hundreds of million of people are now using the internet. Most people can’t even get through a day without it. It has become a part of their lives already. So do not delay. Understand the chain and make it work for you today.

And now I would like to welcome you to the challenging and exciting world of email marketing. This marketing strategy is full of possibilities and can really help make your online marketing plan a success. Building a List Using Effective Email Marketing

Monday, October 31st, 2011

We generally follow many tips and guidelines to improve our online business condition, more specifically to spread our business by driving more traffic to our website using various online marketing strategies. Email marketing has its’ own magical appeal among these strategies, and it has proved as an effective marketing policy for building a list.

First of all, a question comes to our mind that what does this Email marketing mean? Basically, Email marketing, serves as a policy for driving clients to the website and selling the products to them or servicing them. A common strategy is to rent or buy any email list, which is very expensive and it’s not the right strategy always.

Email marketing is always effective in building a list as it is provided so many facilities for link building, but its’ effectiveness depends on some important tips those are described here:

• Generally, people don’t provide their mail address to your website easily as it’s a serious security issue. However, it could be a great strategy to present them something like free eBook, software, informative newsletter etc. for in return of giving their address.

• Make your form the application attractive to the people and put it in the right position, not it any corner where it is tough to find it. Your prime aim is to attract or invite the people to fill up the form because people will not take the initiative to send you mail for subscribing. Make the overall process very easy, so that the people don’t feel during the subscription process.

• Security is always a great issue here as the people don’t know you, and they are not familiar with your security policy. So, they feel afraid of your site and your goal would be overcome this problem by assuring them about security strategy.

• Don’t become very aggressive and don’t force the viewers to sign up in your site and give their mail address. Always be gentle in requesting and collect only that information that you actually need.

There are several strategies to build a list but among them, Email marketing has made its’ own place for its’ effectiveness. So, try this for building a list.

Local Business Marketing – How To Use Email Marketing For Small Business

Monday, October 31st, 2011

So you own a small business I have a question for you. With the holiday season upon us are you offering special deals, promotions, products and services to your customers? What I mean is are you sending them links every single day to where they can buy more of your products? Wait a minute you say, “send them links?” You lost me there. What I mean is this year are you using email marketing to your full advantage.

“Email marketing?” Oh goodness, do I have to teach you everything? No I am just kidding, but let me let you in on a secret your competitors don’t want you to know. Small businesses are learning the power of email marketing to boost their sales this holiday season and on into the new year. So let me explain what I mean by email marketing.

Every customer you give a quote to, do work for, or pitch your services to is very likely to have and use an email account. The last known study that was done on this said that over 80 percent of Americans use email. Part of your process needs to be “May I have your email address?” Once you have a person’s email address you have infinite chances to market yourself to them.

The easiest way to do this for a small, local business is through what is called an autoresponder service. These companies charge you a small monthly fee and they hold your list of email addresses. Better yet though they allow you to send mass messages to your list.

There are two ways to send out messages. You can schedule messages (i.e. you could have a monthly special that goes out on the first of each month). Scheduled messages can be all written and loaded into the system at one time and they will be pushed out based on the schedule you set. The second way you can send out messages is to broadcast them. When you do this the message goes out to your entire list when you publish it. (i.e. If you get in a special new product or service you want to tell people about).

People who have bought before, thought about buying, or have an interest in your topic are the absolute best people to market yourself to. These are not like someone just reading a newspaper or glancing at your ad, these people are consumers with an interest in you.

Do not leave this page before you read this…I am giving away ten special reports that cover all the basics of internet marketing. All you have to do is visit this page to get them. Free SEO eBook, don’t delay this may go away soon!

Email Marketing Autoresponders Explained

Monday, October 31st, 2011

You’ve probably heard of the word “autoresponder” in email marketing, but do you understand what it means or how it works? Autoresponders are a really slick way of automating email campaigns. If you want to save time or ramp up sales, consider their benefits.

I admit, it took me a while to wrap my head around the word. Mostly, because it has the word “responder” in it which implies that it responds back for you.

It really should be called auto messenger, auto promoter, auto sales letter, auto newsletter or auto trainer because it sends automated messages for you in the order you define. Auto-responders are also called follow-up messages. You can choose daily, weekly, monthly, bi-weekly, twice daily, or any frequency you like. You must plan your campaign, create the content and pre-load the messages, but the system does the sending, or follow-up, for you.

The system is useful for blogs, newsletters, training materials, incentives, special offers, tips or any kind of message you want to use to stay in touch with customers, sell products, inform, prompt, promote or remind.

Here is an example of how it can work:

1) When someone signs up to your e-newsletter, it automatically asks the user to double opt-in by confirming their email address. (You have the option to turn the double opt-in off, but it is recommended to keep it.)

2) Once the email is confirmed, it sends a thank you note and tells your reader how often to expect your newsletter or tells them whatever message you pre-load.

3) After the thank you note is sent, it sends out the first edition of your newsletter.

4) One week later, it sends the next edition of the newsletter.

5) A week after that, it sends the third edition…and so on.

The emails can be sent in plain text format or HTML (pretty pictures).

I help one of my good clients send a 52 Tips Weekly E-Newsletter using the Aweber system. Aweber is recognized as one of the leading email marketing softwares to use auto-responders.

What I also find useful with this system are the email sign up forms that I can create myself using their system. (Make sure you work in Firefox and not Internet Explorer when you are creating these.)

I encourage you to check out http://www.Aweber.com for email automation.
