Microsoft Registry Clean – How Does a Registry Become Defective?

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

There are several abnormal things your computer may do to tell you that it needs a Microsoft registry clean. The most common symptoms are: taking way too much time to perform simple tasks, showing error messages when you are trying to open or close programs, becoming totally frozen and even displaying a blue screen when trying to opening or shutting it down. But What is causing all this?

Installing and Removing Programs

Every time you are installing a program into your computer and removing it, it makes an entry into the registry of your computer. The registry system is actually like a memory that registered everything you do.

So after using your computer for many years, sometimes only just months if you use it a lot, the registry gets filled with what is called empty obsolete, or empty keys, in other words. all these no longer valid entries will eventually corrupt the registry to the point that the system will no longer respond well.

Surfing the Internet

An other common cause of a registry becoming overloaded is if you are surfing the internet a lot on a regular basis. Frequently downloading music, games or freeware such as free tool bars, screen savers and so forth exposes the computer registry to even more entries that cannot be all removed, even if you uninstall these programs later on.

The accumulation of all these actions on your computer is adding embedded keys into the registry. In the worse case scenario, these entries will damage your files and prevent the system to open executable files, causing the computer freeze. When this occurs, you are looking at a strong indicator that your computer needs a good Microsoft registry clean.

Opening Several E-mail Messages with Downloads Into it

An other thing that add-up fast into your registry even without you realising it frequently opening emails with either slide shows, videos, power points and so forth. This is a much more common thing today than it was a few years ago. Seems like everybody you know is sending you a funny slide show or something.

Now every time you are downloading such file into your computer, even if you are not saving it, it does contributes to grow the size of the registry.

It is nearly impossible to keep your the registry of your computer from getting full from time to time. The solution is to give it a Microsoft registry clean that will remove the empty keys and optimise your system to allow it to perform as well as it use to. How to Clear a Browser Cache in Internet Explorer Or Mozilla Firefox

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

In this article, I will discuss how to clear your browser cache, whether you are using Internet Explorer or the increasingly common Mozilla Firefox. It’s fairly straightforward, but there are actually so many different options, that sometimes people don’t clear the entire thing. It is very useful for when you are using a public computer, or when you are using a program to produce websites and want to see what your site appears like to someone other than you.

First, I will discuss Internet Explorer. Click on your Options tab. This is at the top left of your browser, just to the left of “Help”. When this tab opens, go to the “general” tab, and look down. In the middle will be a section called Browsing History. In the middle is a button that says “Delete…” The “…” indicates that when you click on the button, you will be given more options, and nothing will be deleted yet.

At this point, you will see a screen with a number of check marks. By default, they are all checked except the top option “Preserve Favorites website data”. If you simply want to clear the cache, you should check “Temporary Internet Files” and leave everything else unchecked. You may or may not want to check “Preserve Favorites website data”. This option allows you to keep your files for those sites that are in your favorites list. What makes this check confusing is it is the only check that means less is cleared when it is checked. When you are ready, hit the “Delete” button and your cache will be deleted.

Second, I will discuss Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox has its clearing mechanism under “Tools”, in the top left of the browser, next to “Help.” Go to “Tools” and you will see an option under it labelled “Clear Recent History…” Click on this button, and a series of options will come up. The default for the amount of time you can clear is “Everything”, which is probably what you want. However, by default, only the “Cache” is checked. If you want to clear anything else, you’ll need to click them manually. Firefox cannot preserve your favorites data. Then, when you are ready, hit “Clear Now.”

The two systems are very similar. The main difference is that they have different defaults checked, so you’ll need to adjust them to your needs. In addition, Internet Explorer has a check that saves data, while all the other checks remove it.

Choosing an Outlook Recovery Product

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

If you are the person in your business who is responsible for finding an Outlook recovery product, then you have a lot of evaluating to do. There are numerous products on the market, each with a specific purpose and you need to think about what your company is looking for and how the product can help them not only protect against data loss but also quickly recover their data.

Not all Outlook recovery products are the same, and although they may all promise to recover your email, there is much more that you should be looking for. For instance, to a user, having their email box is not always the be all and end all of their problem. They need to have their attachments back. They need to have their mail boxes back to their original state, with their preferences intact. If your Outlook recovery product doesn’t do this, then you and your employees will be spending a lot of time getting everything back to the way it was before the crash.

Remember that you are not buying this product solely for recovery of email after a natural disaster. In most cases, it is user error or misuse of the system that causes email boxes to become corrupted or lost. By people opening the wrong attachments (ones that contain viruses), and by people visiting websites that they shouldn’t, everyone’s email box is subject to corruption.

So, in addition to training your employees well in how and how not to use their computer system, you have the obligation to choose the right recovery product that will put them back in business quickly if they do something wrong. If you can get their email and the entire system back up in a matter of hours rather than days, the time spent on the choice of the product will be worth while.

Registry Cleaners Compared – 3 Sure Tips to Purchase to Right Registry Cleaner Optimiser

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

If you are looking to find the right registry cleaner optimiser, it is very important to look at all possible registry cleaners compared to each other. The problem is that there are so many available that it could get very confusing to know for sure which one is appropriate for you.

For most of us, when looking for a registry cleaner to solve our computer problems, it is the first time that we look for one. There are so many out there and they all claim to be the best. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when looking for such product.

Avoid Going For the Free Registry Cleaners

You will be able find hundreds of free ones available on the internet in no time. Even if your are completely annoyed and you need to fix your computer as soon as possible, resist the temptation to download one of those free ones.

The reasons are simple. First you never know what is behind such a free gift. Unfortunately, not every product on the internet is made by well intended people. You may end up with even more problems that you already had and they even may ask you, once it’s downloaded, to pay for the up-grade since the free version could not fix the problem in the first place. A lot of viruses are being injected by the means of free downloads.

Do not confuse free registry cleaners with free scans. Most legit registry cleaners are offering a free scan of your computer but then it is up to you to download the product after the scan, and that is perfectly fine.

Make Sure It is Compatible with your Windows Operating System

You must know what your computer is operating on, means it could be Windows XP, Windows 7 or Vista or an other older version. Make sure you read carefully the page and that the registry cleaner is good for the system you have.

If by mistake you purchase the wrong one, then it wont work and you will have to send a request for a refund. So having the right one will avoid some more aggravation and wasted time.

Do your Due Diligence Before Buying

If you find a good quality product that seems to have everything you are looking for, just to be sure, type the exact name of the product in Google and surround it with “quotes”. Google will return you all the results it’s got in it’s index about this exact product name.

This is a good little trick to see if there are any bad comments about this product. If anyone got scammed when buying the product, you will see bad comment in Google for sure. If you don’t see any, then you are good to go.

Hopefully these few tips will help you find the right registry cleaner to solve you computer problems as soon as possible. Since there are so many out there, it is important to look at paid registry cleaners compared to free ones.
