Purchasing a website is ne of the least expensive ways of advertising a business because you only have to pay once for the website to be built. It is not a ongoing annual payment like most advertising venues.
Companies now use website templates instead of starting from scratch and therefore can pass on their savings over to the business owner.
Some companies will allow their customers to use and choose their own website template, providing that the customer will supply the designer with the content of their new site and then can expect to receive their completed website in 1 – 2 weeks.
What we have done, as web designers, is change our normal way of conducting business by NOT building a website from scratch and then charging the customer at the very least $1000.
We have taken our current financial downfall that so many of us are being affected by and in turn offering low-cost website design using website templates saving hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars to the business owner.
We are able to do this because by using a website template the business owner gets the same quality for a lot less money and it allows the designer to spend less time in the development stage.
When we save time designing, we can pass those savings over to the business owner.
Although we still do customized websites, we encourage all customers to take advantage of the lower cost website templates.
